HW: REVISE your rough draft. Make sure you go back and look at the advice, critique, suggestions that you received from your peer and MAKE THE CHANGES. Come to class on Tuesday READY to type your final draft. There will be NO TIME for revising! Have a GREAT weekend! :)

HW: Complete the PURITAN background information in your HOLT READER pages 3-9. Read and complete all the margin work. Also, if you did not finish the Salem Witchcraft webquest you must finish it for homework.

HW: Journal for ACT I. This journal should be written in your spiral notebook and should not only give a personal account of the prompt you choose, but it should ALSO relate to the characters and plot of the drama.

- Journal Collection. Quiz on ACT II, go over QUIZ. After quiz, students will be placed into collaborative groups for the reading of ACT II. In groups, students will read ACT II and complete questions and "Quote Connector" activities pertaining to the act.

In groups from last class you will present your five quotes AND the significance of the 5 selected quotes to the rest of the class. Be sure that each member of the group participates. - DLA: Commas Day Two (and Three), AMERICAN DREAM PAPER REVISIONS- focus on Be Verbs, 2nd person POV, missing elements. Resave your drafts to your sharepoint.
HW: Revisions of your American Dream Final Drafts are due WEDNESDAY, November 4th. You do NOT need to print your revised draft, just make sure it is posted/uploaded/re-saved to your Sharepoint. You will then need to re-submit your rough draft so that I can see the revisions that were made!

For each of your 3 choices you need to answer the following: 1) Explain the controversy, issue, or cause 2) Explain WHY this cause interests you- what is your personal interest/connection with this topic? 3) State which side of the controversy and/or cause you are on.
